Ingro EMS-H puts a real energy management system behind the home inverter: solar first, a reserve held for power cuts, and heavy loads that wait their turn. For inverter makers and installers, available now.
Ingro EMS-H is an energy management system for home inverter systems — typically up to about 10 kW, and not limited to that. It decides when the battery charges from rooftop solar or from the grid, how much charge to hold back for the next power cut, and when heavy loads such as air-conditioners, geysers and water pumps run or wait, so the home uses more of its own solar and rides through outages. Ingro supplies EMS-H to inverter manufacturers and solar installers, built on the same made-in-India platform that runs commercial, industrial and grid-scale battery storage.
Most home inverters follow fixed rules: charge to full, discharge to empty, run whatever is switched on. An EMS replaces those rules with decisions, made for that home, every moment of the day.
EMS-H runs on the same platform as Ingro’s made-in-India energy management system (EMS).
Four ways a fixed-rule inverter lets the home down, and what an EMS does instead.
A fixed charging rule fills the battery early and then has nowhere to put the afternoon's solar. An EMS decides what to do with every unit the panels produce — the home first, then the battery, then export — instead of following a timer.
If the battery is cycled to the bottom every evening, the next outage finds it empty. An EMS holds back a reserve for power cuts and only spends the charge above it.
An air-conditioner, a geyser or a pump left running during a power cut drains the battery meant for lights, fans and the fridge. An EMS knows which circuits matter and holds the heavy ones back when running on battery.
Charging from the grid when solar was about to arrive — or, where the DISCOM bills time-of-day, at the dearest hour — costs money for nothing. An EMS charges from the grid only when the plan needs it.
Solar, the grid, the battery and the home's circuits all meet at the inverter. EMS-H decides every flow between them.
Rooftop solar carries the home first; the surplus charges the battery in preference to export.
A backup reserve is held in the battery and spent only during an outage. The level is set per home at commissioning.
Heavy loads — air-conditioners, geysers, water pumps — are scheduled into solar hours, and paused in a set priority order when the home runs on battery.
Grid charging is timed to need, and to the cheaper windows where the home is billed on a time-of-day tariff.
When supply fails, the battery carries the essential circuits and the heavy loads wait; when supply returns, the battery is recharged to its reserve.
Each decision is recorded with its reason, so an installer can see what the system did and why rather than guess.
The battery fills on solar, the geyser and pump run while the sun is up, the evening draws the battery down only to the reserve, and a power cut spends the reserve on the circuits that matter. Switch between fixed rules and EMS-H, and the power cut on or off.

Illustrative: the shape of a day, not measured data. Reserve level, load priorities and tariff windows are set for each home at installation.
EMS-H is supplied to the companies that build and fit home inverter systems, and configured for each home they install.
EMS-H adds solar-first charging, outage reserve and smart load control to your inverter range, from a team that already runs EMS at industrial and grid scale. You keep your hardware; the energy decisions come from Ingro.
The reserve level, load priorities and tariff windows are configured per home at installation, so every system you fit behaves the way that household needs — not the way a factory default assumed.
EMS-H is register-map driven and integrates over Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU over RS485, SunSpec, IEC 61850, DNP3 and OPC-UA, plus dry contacts, digital I/O and aggregator gateways. An inverter model not previously encountered is added as configuration, not new hardware — send the model and its communication interface and we confirm compatibility.
Designed, built and supported in India by Ingro Energy, around the conditions Indian homes actually live with: frequent outages, inverter-backed essential circuits, rooftop solar and DISCOM billing.
The model, its communication interface and the battery types it supports.
The inverter's register map is configured on the platform and tested against the hardware.
Reserve level, heavy-load priorities and tariff windows are set for each home at installation.
Configuration changes are applied live, and every decision the system makes stays on record.

A home inverter EMS is the controller that decides how a home's rooftop solar, inverter battery, grid supply and heavy loads work together — when the battery charges and from what, how much charge to keep for the next power cut, and which loads run or wait. Ingro EMS-H is an EMS built for exactly this, supplied to inverter makers and installers.
EMS-H is manufacturer-independent and register-map driven, integrating over Modbus TCP, Modbus RTU over RS485, SunSpec, IEC 61850, DNP3 and OPC-UA, plus dry contacts, digital I/O and aggregator gateways. Send the inverter model and its communication interface and we confirm compatibility; a model not previously encountered is added as configuration.
Yes. Ingro EMS is deployed on site (offline), in the cloud, or as a hybrid of the two. In on-site and hybrid deployments, site control continues with no internet connection. The backup reserve and outage handling are decided at the home, not in the cloud.
EMS-H is supplied through inverter makers and installers, who fit and configure it for each home. If you are a homeowner, ask your installer about it, or contact Ingro.
Home inverter systems typically up to about 10 kW — and it is not limited to that. For a larger home or a small commercial site, tell us the system and we will confirm the fit.
Yes. Heavy loads wired as controllable circuits are scheduled into solar hours and paused in a set priority order when the home runs on battery, so the backup lasts for the circuits that matter.
Yes. EMS-H is available now to inverter manufacturers and solar installers. Contact Ingro with your inverter range or your installation pipeline.
Yes. EMS-H is designed, built and supported in India by Ingro Energy, on the same platform that runs commercial, industrial and grid-scale battery storage.
