Grid, metering and control · India
Gateways translate between protocols, for example from Modbus devices to IEC 61850 or IEC 104 for a utility's SCADA, and data loggers collect readings from inverters and meters and send them to the cloud. The companies below supply gateways and loggers used at Indian solar, storage and industrial sites.

Ingro EMS has its own protocol drivers, so on many sites it replaces a separate logger and reads equipment directly. Where a gateway is already installed, the EMS can read through it rather than duplicating it.
Ingro EMS is a made-in-India battery energy management system: one controller on site that runs battery storage, solar, diesel and the grid against your tariff, with a console and reports you can watch on a screen or your phone. It talks to equipment over open protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU, CAN, IEC 61850 and IEC 60870-5-104, so it is not tied to any one brand on this list.
1 questions
A data logger records what happened and sends it somewhere. An EMS also acts on the data, sending setpoints to batteries, inverters and generators in real time.
