Home battery storage brands in India

A home battery stores solar power or grid power for use during outages or in the evening. In India it usually sits alongside a hybrid inverter, and many households are moving from lead-acid inverter batteries to lithium (LFP) units that last longer and need no maintenance. The brands below sell home storage in India.

Run it all as one plant with Ingro EMS

In a home, the energy management sits inside the hybrid inverter: it decides when the battery charges from solar, when it backs up the house and when the grid takes over. Ingro EMS-H is supplied to inverter makers and installers for exactly that job, so the inverter makes better use of the solar and battery it already has.

Ingro EMS is a made-in-India battery energy management system: one controller on site that runs battery storage, solar, diesel and the grid against your tariff, with a console and reports you can watch on a screen or your phone. It talks to equipment over open protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU, CAN, IEC 61850 and IEC 60870-5-104, so it is not tied to any one brand on this list.

Questions

For most homes, yes. Lithium (LFP) batteries last many more cycles, can be discharged more deeply, need no water top-ups and take up less space. They cost more up front, so the case is strongest where outages are frequent or the battery stores daily solar.

Add up what you want to run during an outage (fans, lights, fridge, Wi-Fi) and for how many hours. A few kilowatt-hours covers essential loads for most homes; running air conditioners needs much more.
