Grid, metering and control · India
Remote I/O modules bring breaker positions, alarms and analogue signals into a control system, and send commands back out. PLCs run local logic, such as interlocks and load shedding. The companies below supply I/O and PLCs widely used at Indian energy and industrial sites.

Breaker positions, DG run signals and fire alarms usually arrive through I/O modules. Ingro EMS reads and writes them over Modbus or IEC 61850, so hard-wired signals become part of the same plant view as the battery and solar.
Ingro EMS is a made-in-India battery energy management system: one controller on site that runs battery storage, solar, diesel and the grid against your tariff, with a console and reports you can watch on a screen or your phone. It talks to equipment over open protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU, CAN, IEC 61850 and IEC 60870-5-104, so it is not tied to any one brand on this list.

Sometimes. Fast safety interlocks are often kept in a PLC or relay logic that works independently of the EMS. The EMS then handles the optimisation layer above it.
